
Annemette Markvad

Pilgrim is a Danish design jewelery company that was founded by Annemette Markvad and Thomas Adamsen in 1983. The company has 6 collections annually and produces handmade jewellery, watches and sunglasses for more than 50 countries worldwide. From 2007-2010, after tax, there was thus a total loss of no less than 125 million, therefore Pilgrim was reconstructed in 2015 in collaboration with Claus Hommelhoff
In the 19/20 accounts, Pilgrim ends with a total turnover of DKK 190 million. DKK for the entire group and the accounts end up with a profit of DKK 9.9 million.

1980 - Annemette and Thomas start selling jewelery on the street in Aarhus and at rock festivals in Denmark

2004 - Pilgrim opens a quality and sourcing office in Asia

2007 - Pilgrim A/S establishes the Pilgrim Foundation

2010 - Retail store chain is built and bought back from franchisees, which means that Pilgrim opens its 30th own stores in Denmark

2015 - The company was reconstructed and a new investor was found, Claus Hommelhoff, who took over 49% of Pilgrim

2022 - Pilgrim launches their first recycled collection

2022 – Pilgrim merges Pilgrim Export ApS and Pilgrim Retail Danmark A/S into one Pilgrim, namely Pilgrim A/S
