Christian Stadil
Christian Nicholas Rosenkrantz Stadil (born November 9, 1971 in Gentofte) is a Danish billionaire, owner of and CEO of the conglomerate Thornico A/S, which includes over 120 operational companies within food, shipping, technology, real estate, financing, packaging and sports and fashion, including the well-known sports company Hummel.
In addition to being a company owner and founder, Christian Stadil is an author, lecturer, adjunct professor at the Center for Business Development and Management at Copenhagen Business School and a former investor in, among others, Løvens Hule, the Danish version of Shark Tank and Dragons' Den. Christian Stadil also sits on a large number of external boards and think tanks.
His parents are financier lawyer Thor Stadil and Kirsten Malling Stadil. Christian Stadil became a student from Herlufsholm Boarding School in 1989, after which he applied for the Royal Guard. Here he was a sergeant from 1990 to 1992.
After his time in the Lifeguard, he went to Ã…rhus to study law. Christian Stadil stopped his studies after two years, and then became a full-time businessman working to diversify the parent company Thornico.
In 1999, Christian and his father, Thor Stadil, bought the Danish Hummel, which was in decline at the time. However, within a few years, Christian and Thor Stadil turned the tide when they relaunched the brand and divided the company into two departments; Fashion and Sport, as well as by (without solicitation) sending clothes to famous people, and thus getting cheap advertising. Christian is also a member of the Adventurers Club; a club and a community that celebrates both inner and outer adventures, e.g. in space, the mountains, the jungle or at the poles and which strikes a blow for the importance of living an adventurous life.
Privately, Christian is married to Alice Rosenkrantz Stadil, father of four, a seasoned mountain climber, martial artist, literature nerd, art collector, champagne enthusiast and owner of his very own champagne: Stadil et Stadil, LE NON MOI.
