Gun-Britt makes no secret of the fact that she works very hard, and I can give my take on the question of how she finds the energy and drive to keep going.
And not just getting started – but to still be a pioneer in the profession she has revolutionized and lifted to new heights.
Because even though you can get very far with your passion, we have probably all seen examples of how you can burn so much that you burn out.
So what does it take?
To be able to keep doing what you love, and what makes a difference, for so many years?
Physiologically speaking, it is about being able to build up a sufficiently large work capacity and work on moving your limit for how much you can do before you get tired and stop.
So you will be able to cope with more intensity in your training and your life, be able to recover faster from it and have energy for more.
The way to increase your work capacity – physically and mentally – is to gradually and systematically turn the system to higher demands, so that even difficult things are experienced more easily and cost less energy.
However, claims and restitution must be followed up.
